Road caves in at Karol Bagh

The front wheels of a school bus carrying 35 children from Vasant Kunj was stuck when a portion of Ravi Das Marg in Karol Bagh caved in on Wednesday. HT reports.

The front wheels of a school bus carrying 35 children from Vasant Kunj was stuck when a portion of Ravi Das Marg in Karol Bagh caved in on Wednesday.

The children were safely evacuated.

This was a very serious incident as the bus was carrying 35 school children and its front literally got inside the road and went almost vertically underground," said a senior traffic police official.

The children had to be evacuated to safety and no one was hurt. A crane had to be called in to pull out the bus but the crane too got stuck. So then we had to pull out both the bus and the crane which took a lot of time," the officer said.
