A young man allegedly robbed a person early on Wednesday in outer Delhi to buy some new clothes and a pair shoes for his brother's wedding that is going to take place next week.

A young man allegedly robbed a person early on Wednesday in outer Delhi to buy some new clothes and a pair shoes for his brother's wedding that is going to take place next week.

The accused was caught by police within minutes of committing the crime.

The police said that Ravinder (20) and his friend Manoj (25) were apprehended in Mangol-puri at around 12.30 am soon after they targeted three persons who were going home.

"Police chased and then arrested," Chhaya Sharma, DCP (outer), said, adding, “Ravinder and Manoj had committed various petty robberies at knifepoint earlier as well.”
