RPF personnel arrested for demanding money

CBI arrested two Railway Protection Force personnel including a senior inspector for allegedly demanding and accepting money for permitting advertising stickers to be pasted on local trains in Mumbai.

CBI arrested two Railway Protection Force personnel including a senior inspector earlier this week for allegedly demanding and accepting money for permitting advertising stickers to be pasted on local trains in Mumbai.

"The CBI has registered a case on the allegation that senior inspector of RPF (Mumbai Central) demanded an illegal gratification of Rs 10,000 for allowing advertisements stickers in local trains of Mumbai suburban. This amount was subsequently reduced to Rs 4,000," a CBI spokesperson said.

The CBI arrested the senior inspector Amit Kumar Roy and constable Rajesh Madhukar Deshpande in connection with the case.
