The sixth subordinate court complex in Delhi at Saket will be thrown open to litigants by Chief Justice of India SH Kapadia.
The 500 crore project, the first centralised air-conditioned court complex in the capital, built on an are of 16 hectares, will have 81 modern courtooms and CCTV cameras at every corner.
The swanky courtrooms will cater to people residing in South and South- East Delhi. “Fifty-eight courts, at present functioning from Patiala House, will be shifted to the new complex at Saket,” Delhi High Court registrar general Rakesh Kapoor said.
The complex has colossal underground parking to accommodate over 1,600 cars, along with parking for 250 cars overground. “A large car parking space on the surface as well as in two basements under the blocks will go a long way in meeting the parking needs,” he said.
