SC bans mining activity in Aravalli hill
The Supreme Court on Friday banned mining activities in Aravalli hill ranges in Haryana. A special forest bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan said that there will be no mining activity in the Aravalli hill ranges falling in Faridabad and Gurgaon district of Haryana.

The Supreme Court on Friday banned mining activities in Aravalli hill ranges in Haryana.
A special forest bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan said that there will be no mining activity in the Aravalli hill ranges falling in Faridabad and Gurgaon district of Haryana.
The court said that 448 sq km area in the region would be free from mining activity.
