The line witnessed a problem on Monday night as well following a short circuit in overhead cables at Jhandewalan station.
"The train stopped for long intervals at stations and in between stations as well. A distance that usually takes 20 minutes took 1 hour to cover today," said Abhishek Verma, who was travelling from Rajouri Garden to Connaught Place.
According to passengers, the problem persisted throughout the day.
"I left home at 11am and I was delayed by more than an hour. In the evening as well the situation was the same. The snags on this line are becoming more and more frustrating," said Pankaj Yadav, a resident of Janakpuri who works in Mayur Vihar Phase 3.
Metro officials, meanwhile, denied the information of any snags.
"Our system has recorded no such major snags. It is possible that the services were affected because of small delays here and there," said a DMRC spokesperson.
The line has been experiencing regular disruptions since September last year.
