The campaign, which has been on for the past fortnight, has seen mass participation from a large number of students and teachers and has been actively covering various spots creating awareness regarding what they believe are essential criticisms of the four-year undergraduate course.

The protesters have organised a signature campaign as part of their agitation, their aim being to carry a petition to the Prime Minister.

The movement begun on April 1 at the Vishwavidyalaya Metro station and till now has covered a number of stations. In the coming days, the plan is to cover a number of spots across the city and garner as many signatures as possible. However, a number of people raised questions about the timing of the protest. “The movement has begun so late because the format of the four-year course structure was made available to us only recently,” said Abha Dev Habib, member, Delhi University Teachers’ Association.
