Single this Valentine’s Day or that typical romantic jazz is not your and your partner’s cup of tea? A crafts mela, music acts and stand-up sessions are just some of the things that you can enjoy on February 14. These events are not just fun, but some will make for Instagram wins too, with great photo-ops. Here’s a lowdown:

Surajkund International Crafts Mela

Whether you’re a craft enthusiast, photographer, artist or a die-hard food lover, this fair has something for everyone. The partner country this year is Egypt and the theme state is Jharkhand, so one can also enjoy great performances while you fill your bags and your tummies.
Where: Surajkund Mela Grounds, Faridabad
Timings: 10am to 7pm
Concert by the Indian Naval Symphonic Orchestra

A band that dates back to 1945, The Naval band, has been enthralling audiences since then and will be doing the same this Valentine’s Day. Check this out if you love music and want to see a performance you will always remember.
Where: Main Building, India International Centre (IIC), Lodhi Estate
Timings: 6.30pm onwards
Les Songes Voyageurs

Along with two talented musicians, Nolwenn Le Guern playing the viola de gamba and Etienne Galletier playing the theorbo, Thierry Gregoire has imagined a special programme around 17th century English composer Henry Purcell for the India tour.
Where: Alliance Francaise De Delhi, 72, Lodhi Estate
Timings: 7pm onwards
Udyanotsav 2017

The popular, annual Udyanotsav at President’s Estate, has about 14,000 tulips in seven different colours planted at the Mughal Gardens. Several beds of roses including both new and heritage varieties, flower carpets in magnificent designs, organic produce,and ornamental flowers in various shades of yellow, red and orange will be some of the things you can catch here .
Where: Gate No. 35, President’s Estate, where North Avenue meets the Rashtrapati Bhavan
Timings: 9.30am to 4pm
