Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee on Sunday expressed deep sorrow at the demise of former prime minister Chandra Shekhar.
In his condolence message, Chatterjee described him as "a very respective friend, a long time colleague in Parliament and a great leader."
The former premier died on Sunday at the Apollo Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment for the last three months.
