Special IDs for MCD tax payers
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Tuesday announced the issuance of special identification number for tax payers.

To be prepared on the lines of the Permanent Account Number (PAN), this card will have all details about the taxpayer including how many times the person has availed of amnesty schemes. According to Delhi Mayor Kanwar Sain, software is being developed for the same.
“This will benefit both the taxpayers and the Corporation. Taxpayers would not need to carry heavy files to show their past record, the software will retrieve all records when one feeds the allotted identification number,” said Sain.
He said, at present, the identification number will be given to defaulters who will come out to pay their dues under a special amnesty scheme.
