Speeding car kills 1, injures four others
In a case of drink driving, a 36-year-old woman was killed while her husband, two daughters and a neighbour sustained injuries when a speeding WagonR hit them in Outer Delhi’s Aman Vihar on Sunday night.

The accident took place around 8.30pm in Karan Vihar area, near Laxmi dairy. The deceased has been identified as Manju.
The errant driver of the car, identified as Dharmendra, was driving his vehicle under the influence of liquor. Two
more persons who were in the car, were also in inebriated condition. They were identified as Bablu and Chandrasekhar.
All the three were beaten by local residents by the time police reached the spot and arrested Dharmender, while the other two managed to flee.
A senior police officer said Manju was sitting outside her house with her husband Ram Prakash, daughters — Neha and Neetu, and neighbour Chandra Kant.
“The speeding car rammed into them and all the five suffered severe injuries. They were taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital where doctors pronounced Manju brought dead.
The condition of other four was stated to be out of danger,” said the senior officer adding a case of rash driving was registered and the errant driver was arrested. Police also impounded the car.
