The SpiceJet flight (SG 2431) took off around 8.10am from the IGI airport for Jabalpur but the pilot experienced some technical snag and decided to return back, an airline spokesperson said.

The pilot of the Bombardier Q400 aircraft asked for a technical landing from the air traffic control (ATC) and made a safe landing with all 77 passengers and four crew members, the spokesperson said, adding that it was not an emergency landing.

Later, passengers were boarded in an another aircraft and the plane left for Jabalpur at 10.30 AM after a delay of about two hours.
