The five-member Justice Srikrishna Committee will will submit its report on Telangana to home minister P Chidambaram on Thursday evening, a day before the term of the panel expires.

The committee is looking into the demand for a separate Telangana state. The report will suggest “several options with their pros and cons”.
The committee of five members was set up in February last year and is headed by former Supreme Court judge, BN Srikrishna.
The panel's job was to interview different political parties and sections of society on a Telangana state. The committee says it has tried to deliver "highest satisfaction of the largest number."
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has reviewed the political and security situation in Andhra Pradesh with his senior cabinet colleagues ahead of the submission of the Srikrishna committee report on Telangana statehood.
The issue is an emotional one, with protesters pitching for a separate Telangana or a united Andhra Pradesh.
Singh conferred with finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, defence minister AK Antony, Chidambaram and law minister M Veerappa Moily besides senior government officials, sources said.
The discussions reportedly covered the implications and fallout of the statehood demand, both in Andhra as well in other states where similar demands can crop up if Telangana is conceded.
