Students overcome physical hurdles to shine in Class X.

An avid debater, a computer enthusiast and a singer who is part of the Capital City Minstrels, Tapas Bhardwaj has just added another feather to his illustrious cap of achievements by becoming one of the few physically disabled students to score a CGPA of 10 in his Class X board exams.

The visually impaired DPS RK Puram student took the help of computer programmes and that of his friends and family to study every day. The 15-year-old has now opted for the humanities stream in Class XI, which he believes will give him more time to concentrate on co-curricular activities.

Ajit Singh, Salwan Public School

Ajit Singh is a student of Salwan Public School. But unlike others, Ajit is special. The student scored a CGPA of 9.8 in his class X final exams despite being visually disabled. While Singh is happy with his achievement, he wants to study harder now.

“I’m extremely happy, but I am going to strive for a better score next time,” he said. When asked about his support and his inspirations, he promptly added: “My parents and younger sister helped me out a lot. They supported me and helped me study and revise for my exams.”

Shradha Ahuja, MM Public School, Pitampura

Shradha Ahuja is an orthopedically impaired student of MM Public School who scored a 9.8 CGPA in her Class X final exams, her results surprising her pleasantly.

A hardworking student who studied for over eight hours during her exams, Ahuja attributed her success to her mother, who she claimed has been her biggest support system.
