The time taken by passengers to reach the boarding gate from the entry at Terminal 3 has also doubled. Terminal 3 is spread in over five lakh square metre area and is the sixth largest airport in the world.

“The size of the terminal is definitely an issue. At the old terminal, we used to walk in and start work but here we need to walk at least 500 metres before reaching work stations. Passengers are also facing the same problem,” said a Kingfisher official, who is not authorised to talk to the media.

“The entry is itself a hassle. Once you enter the confusion welcomes you and there is a lack of signages,” said Rajneesh, a passenger.

“The distance from security hold area to boarding gate is too much,” said an Air India official.
