“We want to ensure that the benefits of regularisation percolate to the residents of unauthorised colonies. We want to expedite developmental works in unauthorised colonies and take the regularisation process to its logical conclusion at the earliest,” said Dikshit.

Officials said the task force is being constituted to ensure that all the issues related to unauthorised colonies such as finalising of layout plans and execution of developmental works by various agencies for improving civic amenities in these colonies are dealt with.

“The task force would report the progress made to the chief secretary,” said a senior Delhi government official.

Officials from the urban development department have been assigned the task of providing information and help to RWAs.
