Teacher accused of molesting girl student

Another sex case surfaced on Friday this time of a woman teacher charged with sexually molesting one of her girl students, reports Vijaita Singh.

This is no sting. A 15-year-old student of a government school in south Delhi has alleged that she had been working as a prostitute for the last two years under pressure from a lady teacher.

The victim is a student of class VIII. Her father has told police that the teacher used to take her to guesthouses in Connaught Place and Hauz Khas, forcing her to entertain men.

“My daughter was a good student. The teacher used to call her up and say that she need not worry about attendance. In April last year, she took my daughter to a house in Hauz Khas. She got a man in the room and bolted the door. The man raped her, took nude photographs of her and later started blackmailing her,” the victim’s father told HT.

The police said they have registered a case of rape, criminal intimidation and immoral trafficking against the teacher.

“The teacher told us that she had no idea why such allegations were being levelled against her,” said NS Bundela, additional deputy commissioner of police (south).
