Tejinder calls army chief a 'frustrated man'

Reacting to the charges levelled against him by the army chief, former Defence Intelligence Agency chief Lt Gen Tejinder Singh Friday said Gen VK Singh was a frustrated man, who had lost the battle to change his year of birth, which would have given him another 10 months in service.

Reacting to the charges levelled against him by the army chief, former Defence Intelligence Agency chief Lt Gen Tejinder Singh Friday said Gen VK Singh was a frustrated man, who had lost the battle to change his year of birth, which would have given him another 10 months in service.

Lt Gen Singh said the army chief wanted truce with the government after being cornered from all sides.

"I am a soft target and don't have Gen Singh's resources," he said.

He said a retired officer could create a rift between the army and the defence ministry was an insult to the country's political leadership.
