The minimum temperature slipped to eight degree Celsius from yesterday's minimum of 8.4 degree Celsius, the Met department said. Yesterday's maximum temperature was recorded at 20.8 degree Celsius, one degree less than the normal at this point of the season.
What added to the woes was the cold wind and the thick blanket of fog that engulfed the city skyline.
The Met department said the fog condition will prevail till noon. The city roads wore a deserted look with less number of vehicles playing. Office goers had no option but to brave the cold conditions to reach in time.
The weatherman said similar condition will be witnessed tomorrow also with the maximum temperature hovering around 20 degree Celsius and the minimum around eight degrees. There will be thick fog till noon tomorrow.
