The first road accident was reported from west Delhi’s Rajouri Garden area where a 20-year-old man was killed while his two friends sustained injuries after the car they were traveling in rammed into a truck after hitting road divider.

The accident took place at around 4 am and the deceased was identified as Karan Singh Dhingra, a resident of Raj Garden area. His injured friends, identified as Amit and Rahul, are undergoing treatment at a private hospital, said a police officer.

"Eyewitnesses told us that the speed of the car was very high and its driver lost control over the vehicle when it hit the road divider after descending the Raja Garden flyover. The car smashed into the moving truck from behind," added the officer.

In the second accident, a 35-year-old woman was crushed to death by a speeding DTC low floor bus on Thursday evening near Piragarhi Chowk in west Delhi.

The victim, identified as Asha, lived in Karmpura area and was crossing the road when she was ran over by the DTC low floor bus going towards Uttam Nagar. The errant bus driver, Sunil, was arrested and the bus was impounded, said police.

The third accident was reported from south Delhi’s Hauz Khas where a 45-year-old man was crushed to death by an unknown vehicle on Fridar morning.

Ajay Sharma, who hailed from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, was living in Hauz Khas area with his family. Sharma was out for a morning walk when the accident took place, a police officer said.
