The question papers for Hindi (H) and Statistics (H) were supplied over 50 minutes late to the students on Wednesday. "The number of question papers was insufficient and more than 50 students were left high and dry. It was only after 20-30 minutes that the question papers arrived," said Kumar Rahul, exam co-ordinator, Ramjas College.

Professors claimed that the B.El.Ed and Modern Indian Language (MIL), Bengali, papers too, arrived an hour later than scheduled.

The exams at the central university this semester had been marred by several glitches, giving anxious moments to students and leaving the administration red-faced.

Over 15,000 students were supplied incorrect question papers on Monday, for which Vice-Chancellor Dinesh Singh blamed the respective departments.

The reaction was no different on Thursday, as the blame game continued. The teachers hurled accusations at the V-C and blamed the semester system for the mess.

"Some colleges such as Miranda House received the B.El.Ed (on Wednesday) and MIL, Bengali, paper (on Thursday) only an hour after the scheduled time. This is a complete collapse of the working at the exam branch and the semester system, both of which are under the unilateral control of the V-C," said a professor, requesting anonymity.

"On Wednesday, one of the questions in the Hindi (H) paper had a misprint. The exam branch however, did not say anything till it was over," said Rajeev Kunwar, a professor in the Hindi Department at Dyal Singh College.
