Traffic constable rewarded

Traffic head constable Neeraj Kumar was rewarded Rs 1,000 and a certificate of appreciation on Monday.

Traffic head constable Neeraj Kumar was rewarded Rs 1,000 and a certificate of appreciation on Monday. He had issued on spot challan of Rs 100 to a joint director of ministry of home affairs immediately after his office vehicle had jumped red light at Sardar Patel Marg and Kautilya Marg intersection on Friday morning. The driver of the vehicle brought to the traffic man's notice that the officer was sitting in the car but Kumar did not restrain him from issuing challan to the vehicle.
