Traffic movement closed on old Yamuna bridge

Due to the increase in the water level of the Yamuna, the Delhi traffic police closed traffic movement on Loha Pul on Tuesday afternoon. This resulted in a major traffic jam at ISBT Kashmere Gate.

Due to the increase in the water level of the Yamuna, the Delhi traffic police closed traffic movement on Loha Pul on Tuesday afternoon. This resulted in a major traffic jam at ISBT Kashmere Gate.

"The bridge has been closed temporarily and will be opened once the water level of the Yamuna comes down," said a traffic police officer.

Traffic coming from the Ring Road bypass has been diverted on Eastern Approach Road and east Delhi on Geeta Colony Pushta Road.

Heavy traffic jam was also witnessed on GT Karnal Road during evening due to construction work of the road in front of Azadpur Mandi. Motorists going towards the Azadpur By Pass were diverted on Road no-51/Arihant Road, said traffic police.
