Several trains have been diverted through other routes, a Northern Railways spokesperson said.

He said the derailment took place between Kankaha and Nigoha stations under Lucknow division in UP at around 10 pm yesterday.

Due to the derailment, Puri-New Delhi Neelanchal Express has been re-scheduled to leave New Delhi station today at 4 pm, instead of 6 am.
