Two held for raping Class 9 student in Aug

The west Delhi police have arrested two persons wanted in the August 28 gangrape of a 14-year-old Class 9 student. The arrested persons have been identified as Mandeep and Rishi.

The two, along with their relative Jasbir, had allegedly raped the victim at one Jaivir’s under-construction building. Jaivir was arrested on August 29.

According to a senior police officer, the victim was alone at her house when Jaivir arrived and took her to his plot on the pretext of offering her a ride on his motorcycle.

Initially, the victim did not tell anybody in her family about the incident.

However, three days later, she broke down and narrated the entire story to her parents, who then approached the Uttam Nagar police station.

A medical examination of the minor confirmed rape, the senior officer said.
