The first incident was reported around 10 pm on Tuesday night from east Delhi.

According to police, 26-year-old Devendra Kumar was run over by an unidentified vehicle near Loni road while cycling to his Seemapuri home.

“It is a case of hit and run,” said a senior police officer.

“He used to work as an embroider and was returning home when a speeding vehicle hit him from behind, ran over his corpse and sped away,” the police officer said.

In the second incident, an unidentified body was found on the Ring Road in I.P extension, central Delhi. According to police, the middle-aged male, who is yet to be identified, was crossing the road leading to the Pragati Maidan when the incident occurred.

Cases have been registered in both the cases and investigations are on, police said.

Meanwhile, 25 people were injured in east Delhi on Wednesday morning when their Tata 407 Tempo turned turtle on the Karkardooma flyover at 10 am.

“They were returning from Ram Mandir located in the Preet Vihar area when the incident occurred,” said a senior police officer. Police said the truck was speeding down the flyover when the driver suddenly braked to avoid hitting a cycle rickshaw, “We have registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the driver and are investigating the matter,” the officer added.
