Sanjay Kumar Jain, deputy commissioner of police (crime), said the arrest followed information that a gang involved in preparation of forged driving licences and other documents related to vehicles was operating in the Jahangirpuri area.
“Hussain was the first to be arrested from Jahangirpuri,
allegedly with six forged driving licences. He had come to deliver the forged driving licences to his client when he was nabbed by our team. His questioning led to the arrest of Yadav,” said Jain, adding that Hussain told them that he was lured into crime allegedly by someone called Shokeen three years ago.
“All of sudden, Shokeen stopped his illegal activities. Hussain started to search for an accomplice and got in touch with Yadav, who used to make rubber stamps,” added Jain.
