Ravi, a close associate of 23-year-old first-year MBBS student Mohit Choudhary, the mastermind of the scam, is still on the run, along with a qualified doctor who was supposed to help the gang.

"Choudhary had printed the entire paper after receiving it over email and was on his way to pick up a doctor, who holds an MD (Master's Degree), from a hospital in central Delhi and was more qualified to solve the paper," said a senior police officer.

Sources said Choudhary first got the paper printed at the gang's control room in Noida and then headed to central Delhi to pick up his doctor friend who was with Ravi. The trio were then supposed to drive back to Noida, even as they give answers to their clients over the phone in a bid to save time.

Meanwhile, Ashok Chand, DCP (crime) said Dr Vimal Dangi (31) and Dr Sai Balendar Bakshi (35), both currently interning at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, were arrested from their homes in Old Rajender Nagar for paying R18 lakh each to Choudhary.

"They revealed that they got in touch with him through a doctor pursuing his PG in medicine from a college in Indore, where Chaudhary was also doing his undergraduate MBBS course," the DCP said. They had struck a deal in January this year.

While Dange did his MBBS from Ukraine, Dr. Bakshi obtained his degree from Karnataka.
