US vice prez Joe Biden to visit Delhi, Mumbai

The US vice president Joe Biden will be meeting the top Indian leadership during his visit to India from Monday but there are no delegation - level talks on the cards. He will be in India from July 22 to 25. HT reports.

The US vice president Joe Biden will be meeting the top Indian leadership during his visit to India from Monday but there are no delegation - level talks on the cards. He will be in India from July 22 to 25.

Biden who arrives here on Monday will begin will visit by paying homage at Gandhi Smriti. He will meet president Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Joe Biden will be meeting with Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi at her residence and leader of opposition Sushma Swaraj will also be calling on Biden. Vice president Hamid Ansari will host a dinner for Biden. On the last two days of the trip, he will be in Mumbai.

The trade, defence, security, nuclear issues are set to dominate his talks here. Afghanistan will also feature in a major way in the talks.
