Apart from making the usual promises for improving the infrastructure of the city including the road network, rationalising water tariff, reducing power bills and providing housing for the middle class, the vision document also says it will bring in 85% reservation for students passing out from Delhi schools in the University of Delhi.

"Delhi colleges will have 85% reservation for students who are from Delhi schools or there will be a 4% relief in cut-off marks for Delhi students who have settled in other parts of India," said the vision document.

According to senior BJP leaders, while Delhi University has about 54,000 seats, almost 50% are taken up by students from other states.

"We will ensure that a student, who has done his Class 12 from Delhi, should get preference and reservation when it comes to studying in Delhi University," said a senior BJP leader.

The BJP leader further said there are 63 colleges in Delhi University and of these 28 are funded by the Delhi government fully or partially and hence it can be achieved.

The party has also promised that self defence classes will be part of school curriculum with special emphasis on martial art. The vision document says students will be able to get educational loans easily.

BJP leaders said as spaces for children to play are shrinking, the party plans to provide area them to play.

"New residential colonies will have to make provision of sports ground compulsory in the area," states the vision document.

It also talks about ensuring more security for women and increasing the number of special DTC buses for women in the city.

"Women security forces to be posted in crowded areas and market areas. CCTV cameras will be installed. IT will be used to enhance the safety net for women to enable them to inform and reach out for help easily," reads the vision document.

Just like the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the BJP has also promised to covert Delhi into a Wi-Fi city in a phased manner.

Residents growing organic fruits and vegetables in their homes will be rewarded with discount in their property taxes too.

Liquor vends will only come up in those areas which have an approval of the Resident Welfare Associations.

As the demand for domestic help has increased in Delhi, the party has promised to make efforts to train more women in various household chores by opening training centres.
