Warm, bright Thursday for Delhi

A misty morning gave way to a bright and warm day in Delhi on Thursday.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature recorded early in the day was a notch below the average at 7 degrees Celsius.
"There is a likelihood that the skies will turn partly cloudy in the later part of the day. It is expected to be a warm day with the maximum temperature around 22 degrees," an IMD official said.
The minimum and the maximum temperatures Wednesday touched 7.2 and 22.6 degrees respectively.

JCB machine rescues elephant from a ditch in Jharkhand's Ramgarh | Watch
District administration in Jharkhand's Ramgarh was forced to call for an excavator to rescue an elephant that fell into a well. According to Dainik Bhaskar, the incident took place late night on Saturday in Ramgarh's Tandil Bisa village. The elephant, which was a part of a herd, got separated from the group and fell into a well. The report further stated that the herd was being followed by a forest department team.

Delhi Metro services on Red Line hit, commuters stranded
Delhi Metro services on the busy red line were hit on Monday morning leaving large number of commuters stranded in the early morning hours. “Delay in services is being observed between Inderlok and Pitampura on red line.“ The red line has 29 stations that runs from Rithala to Shaheed Sthal with a total distance of 34.55 km,” DMRC said in a statement. Another commuter, Gaurav Gautam, said the Red Line wasn't working properly.

Haryana cabinet to take call on signing supplementary PPA with Adani today
The Haryana cabinet will on Monday morning take a call on inking a supplementary power purchase agreement with Adani Power Ltd for supply of about 1,200 MW power generated from domestic coal at the agreed tariff of ₹2.94 per unit. Delhi is likely to see a partly cloudy sky on Monday, with the minimum temperature to stay at 29 degrees Celsius, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. The maximum temperature, however, is predicted to reach 40 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature on Sunday was 29 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, while the maximum temperature was 40.6 degree Celsius, three degrees above normal. The prominent pollutants in Delhi's air were PM2.5 and PM10.
