Several parts of Delhi and NCR saw water-logging and heavy traffic snarls as grey monsoon clouds hovered over the national capital, causing early morning showers on Friday.

Commuters were stuck for a long time in the morning rush hour traffic across the NCR and some of them took to social media to post pictures of water-logged and clogged roads.

They also wrote about the irony of dark clouds providing succour from the unrelenting muggy weather and yet adding to the woes of Delhiites.

People posted their pictures and comments using the hashtag #DelhiRains, and it soon became one of the top Twitter trends on Friday morning.
