Jai Kishen Sharma, leader of opposition in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) said there would be no repeat of Friday’s incident.
The special meeting on Friday was disrupted by Congress members, the first such incident since the inception of the civic body in 1958.
Congress wanted to know why no funds were made available despite the promise of R50 lakh as additional councilor fund in December.
When sloganeering continued for almost 50 minutes, the meeting was adjourned.
Sharma told Hindustan Times, “They (BJP) did not satisfy our question about the additional councilor fund.
We will now seek clarification from the municipal commissioner. The House meeting would happen tomorrow (on Monday).”
Leader of the House Subhash Arya said, “After we approached the Lt Governor, he assured action against Congress members.”
