A letter to this effect was filed by the jail officials before additional sessions judge Yogesh Khanna, who had asked the prison authorities to inquire into Singh’s allegation of having been beaten up by some inmates and police officers.

Prison officials said Singh misbehaved with the wardens when they were escorting him for his medical examination.

“Akshay’s act is strictly against jail discipline and punishable as per Delhi Jail Manual. He may be punished accordingly,” the letter said.
