Sangeeta, 27, a mother of a four-year-old son, was found dead with injury marks on Saturday evening at her residence in Harsh Vihar, they said, adding victim's husband Todarmal Dinesh, his uncle Prem Dinesh and sister-in-law Madhu were absconding after the incident.
According to police, victim's father Prakash, a Ghaziabad resident, lodged a complaint alleging that Sangeeta's in-laws had threatened to kill her on July 24 if their demand of Rs five lakh for opening a medical store was not met.
Prakash in his complaint alleged that Dinesh had called his him on Saturday evening to inform that Sangeeta was missing from the house but when he reached there, he found her lying dead with injury marks on her body, while her in-laws and husband were missing. A case has been registered in this regard against Dinesh and her in-laws.
