A 23-year-old trainee software engineer was stabbed to death at a paying guest accommodation in DLF City Phase III on Wednesday morning.

The victim Cincy Sebistian, who hailed from Kerala and worked at a reputed firm in Udyog Vihar, had stab marks on her neck, head and other parts of the body.
The body of the deceased was spotted in a pool of blood by the landlady and the victim’s aunt at 1.30pm on Wednesday.
Though the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, it seems the assailant(s) was known to the victim as there was no evidence of struggle at the crime scene, police said.
The police have also recovered a 6-inch long knife from the spot and found the shop in the area from where it was purchased. However, the police are yet to disclose the identity of the shop and the person who had bought the knife.

Sebistian came to Gurgaon in November 2010 and joined software development firm HIPL situated in Udyog Vihar Phase 5. She stayed with her aunt Ambija in block U, DLF Phase 3 till June 2011. Cincy’s mother is a nurse and her father works with a private company in Trivandrum. She was their only child.
“She was not well-versed in Hindi but was very friendly. She stayed with me for some time as she was new to the city. After staying with me for some time, she moved out as she wanted to be on her own. She went home on December 12 as she was unwell and returned on January 3,” Ambija said.
Cincy’s cellphone records show that the last call was made at 11am and she didn’t answer her phone after that.
