Now, those interested in joining the Indian army will have to apply online instead of participating in open recruitment. The interested youth need not visit different places for job application in army.

For this, online application process would be formally started by the army from September 1.
The army would contact the applicants once they had applied online and would intimate him about the date and where the test would be conducted.
This would help in saving a lot of time and no person would be able to dupe the youths on the pretext of getting them recruited.
Director Recruiting Col Davinder Singh said the online application process would be formally started by the army from September 1 and all interested youths can apply and get themselves registered at www. joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Singh said the website would remain operational 24X7 and any person can apply anytime. After submitting the application, the recruitment cell of army would process the application and intimate the applicant about the place and date where he can come for test.
Col Davinder Singh said candidates can apply from anywhere including Indian army’s recruiting office.
He said applying online would not mean that the candidate has fulfilled all the terms and conditions. If any discrepancy is found, the candidate would automatically be disqualified. Once a candidate applies online, he should constantly check his email id mentioned at the time of applying.
He also cautioned the candidates that they should not fall in trap of touts or those claiming to get them job into Indian Army.
