JEE Main 2023 Live Updates: 75% criteria for admission is back, syllabus out

JEE Main is held twice. If a candidate appears in one session, his/her total raw score (actual marks in the exam) will be converted to percentile score through normalisation and this percentile score will be used to determine his/her all India rank.

If one takes both the sessions, the best out of these two exam scores will be considered for ranking.

After applying for JEE Mains 2023, save copies of the uploaded photo and signature as these may be required at a later stage of the exam.

Open the link to apply for session 1.

Click on new candidate register. Register and get your login details.

Login to fill the application form.

Upload photo, signature and other asked details, make payment.

Submit the form and save the confirmation page.

For future use, save the uploaded photograph as well.

Whie uploading photo and signature, candidates should ensure they are following the given instructions. They should ensure these scanned images are clear, visible and as per size and format mentioned. They must also save copies of these two, which may be required at a later stage.

Like 2022, NTA is expected to hold JEE Main exam for both BTeach/BE and BArch/BPlanning aspirants twice next year.

1. Publication of JEE Main 2023 notification and information bulletin. 
2. JEE Main 2023 registration window.
3. Application form correction window.
4. Release of exam city information slip.
5. Release of JEE Main admit card.
6. JEE Main session 1 exam.

NTA will publish JEE Main 2023 information bulletin, notification on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can check eligibility criteria, syllabus for the test and other details on the information bulletin.

Click on new user registration.

Submit the asked details.

Now, login and fill the application form.

Upload documents and pay the fee.

Submit and download the confirmation page. Also save copies of photo and signature used.

While JEE Main 2023 exam dates are expected soon, NTA has not made any announcement in this regard yet.

NTA will most likely announce dates for JEE Main 2023 soon on jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. 

Candidates can download and set up the SANDES application as a backup channel to get notifications from NTA.

General-EWS category: 10% seats reserved

OBC-NCL: 27% seats

Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%

Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%

Persons with Disability (PwD): 5%

JEE Main cut-off score is the minimum marks a candidate is required to score to be eligible for JEE Advanced. The top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify in the Mains exam are allowed to take the Advanced exam.

The cut-off scores in JEE Main depends on several factors, including:

1. Difficulty level of papers.
2. Number of exam takers.
3. Past trends.
