GATE 2019: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019 result was declared on Saturday evening. GATE is an important exam for all engineering graduates aiming to get admission for higher studies in IITs/NITs etc. or to secure a PSU job. This year, GATE 2019 was conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). It was held from 2nd February to 10th February 2019 across 4 days.

As per Dr. Susheel Joshi SVP (Academic) at Gradeup ‘the overall cut-off for most of the branches has increased as compared to 2018. For Electrical branch the cut-off has drastically increased from 29.1 in 2018 to 39.6 in 2019. For Computer Science, the cut-off was consistently 25 for the last few years, however has increased to 29.5 this year. While the cut-off for Mechanical has slightly declined from 34.7 in 2018 to 34.1 in 2019’.

The GATE score is valid for three years. Candidates can download their score card from 20th March 2019 to 31st May 2019. The result was expected on 16th March, however has been released a day prior.
