Karnal’s Mohit Gupta tops CA final exam, says hard work paid off
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Wednesday declared the results of Chartered Accountants (CA) final examination and Common Proficiency Test (CPT) 2017.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India released on Wednesday the results for its exam held in November last year, with 22.76% candidates clearing the test.
The result as well as the merit list (candidates securing a minimum of 55% and above marks and upto the maximum of 50th Rank on all India basis) are available on ICAI’s websites icai.nic.in. (iStockphoto)
The first three ranks were bagged by Mohit Gupta from Karnal, who scored 73.38% (587/800), followed by Prashant and Aditya Mittal from New Delhi who scored 71.38% (571/800) and 70.62% (565/800) respectively.
According to figures shared by the ICAI, 39,328 candidates appeared for the Group I test in CA finals, of which 15.91% passed the test whereas of the 39,753 candidates who appeared for the Group II test, 15.11% passed.
Currently working in a company in Gurgaon, the all India topper, Mohit Gupta, was ecstatic with the results. “My hard work shows results with this news. I have been pursuing my BCom followed by two years of MCom in Delhi, while studying for CA,” said Gupta, who was planning to visit his parents in Karnal to celebrate his success.
Gupta said he planned to continue working in Gurgaon.
