Kerala SSLC result 2018: Pass percentage goes up by 2%

Kerala SSLC result 2018: The Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class 10 board examination result was declared on Thursday on the SSLC results website of the government of Kerala at http://results.kerala.gov.in/
The pass percentage of students in the Class 10 board examination this year was two percent higher than 2017, officials said on Thursday.
State education minister C Raveendranath said 97.84% students passed this year as compared to 95.98% in 2017 and congratulated students and teachers for notching up a high percentage.
The pass percentage was highest in Ernakulam district at 99.12 and lowest in Wayanad, where it was 93.87.
The minister said out of 441,482 students, who appeared for the examination, 431,162 cleared it. At least 34,313 students scored A Plus in all subjects and 517 schools got A Plus in all subjects.
“The high percentage shows the vibrancy of the state education sector. What is more interesting is that performance of government schools has gone up considerably. I congratulate teachers and students for making this happen,” he said.
The directorate of public instructions’ data shows that 441,103 regular students — 2,24,564 boys and 2,16,539 girls — from 3,046 schools across the state and 2,751 privately registered candidates appeared for the exam this year.
Besides this, 1,300 students wrote the exam from Gulf countries and Lakshadweep.
