Maski is one of the 224 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Raichur district. People of Maski voted for Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 on May 10 and the result was declared on May 13.
In 2018, the Maski assembly seat had 1,95,494 registered voters, 96,649 were male and 98,829 were female voters. 1.1% of voters opted for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election 2018, Maski constituency had 6 candidates for assembly seat contention. Maski was one of 80 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was an extremely close fight, with Indian National Congress's Pratapgouda Patil winning the election defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Basanagowda-Turvihal by a narrow margin of 213 votes.
The top two candidates split 89.5% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Pratapgouda Patil got a total of 60,387 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Basanagowda-Turvihal secured 60,174 votes. Janata Dal (Secular)'s candidate Rajasomanath Nayak secured 11,392 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 44.8%, 44.7% and 8.5% respectively.
In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Indian National Congress's Pratapgowda Patil outperformed Karnataka Jantha Paksha's Mahadevappa Gowda by 19,147 votes.
