AAP Punjab in-charge Raghav Chadha thanks voters for thumping victory in state
Addressing AAP supporters and mediapersons at party’s state headquarters in Sector 39, Chandigarh, Aam Aadmi Party’s state co-incharge Raghav Chadha said the 50-year rule of Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has been ousted.
Thanking the people of Punjab for giving Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) a thumping victory in the state assembly elections, party’s state co-incharge Raghav Chadha said the party has become a “natural and national alternative to Congress”.
Addressing AAP supporters and mediapersons at party’s state headquarters in Sector 39, Chandigarh, on Thursday, Chadha said, “Humne logo ko jhadu marne ko bola, unhone vacuum hi mardiya. (We asked people to vote for the broom, they vacuum out the opposition)”
“The 50-year rule of Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has been ousted. People have gone for the clear politics of AAP and Kejriwal model,” he said
Giving credit to common voters for AAP win, Chadha, said, “Jab Aam log maidaan mein aate hain toh bade bade sihasan hil jate hei.”
On the pre-election allegations made against party supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Chadha said, “Indulging in dirty politics, they even called Kejriwal a terrorist. Today people of Punjab have responded in right earnest to such people. People have accepted the combination of Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal.”
“No longer will Punjab be called the Udta Punjab, it will be known as rangila and uhdta (rising) Punjab.”
“Women and old people, who have been waiting for so long for development and relief, will now get Bhagwant Mann serving them with full dedication,” said Chadha.
People of the entire country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari are looking with strong hope at Kejriwal model of governance, said Chadha.
“AAP has become a national force, and people of Punjab have shown the way,” said Chadha.
Stating that the party will work for all, including those voted for it and against it, Chadha, said, “It is a great responsibility given to us by people and AAP will deliver on it for all.”
