Abhishek tweets about Big B, draws flak

Actor Abhishek Bachchan has sung high praises for his father Amitabh Bachchan on Twitter, which has not gone down too well with his fans on the micro blogging website.

Lauding the 67-year-old star's performance in his latest movie Rann, Abhishek wrote on his Twitter page, "We don't deserve a talent like Mr Amitabh Bachchan! Don't think we can make movies to fit his talent!"

But the Guru star is having to explain himself ever since he posted the comment as his followers were not too pleased with it.

"It's really lame to praise your own family, in media, especially to this extent. You should let people praise him!," wrote one follower.

To which the junior Bachchan replied, "Would love to hear everyones opinion. My opinion? Well, its my twitter page, so I have the freedom to write whatever I want and praise whoever I want. Don't like it? Don't read it!"

Another follower wrote, "Its arrogant 2 say, 'Don't like it, don't read it'. Whole world knows your father's credentials. He has respect & admiration of all (sic)."

The 33-year-old actor was in the capital on Thursday night with his wife Aishwariya Rai Bachchan for the premiere of the Ram Gopal Verma directed Rann which also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Gul Panag.
