Actor Abhimanyu Singh, who plays a policeman in Onir's I Am, feels that issues of homosexuality portrayed in the movie, will help change the perception of the society towards the subject.

Actor Abhimanyu Singh, who plays a policeman in Onir's I Am, feels that issues of homosexuality portrayed in the movie, will help change the perception of the society towards the subject, "I believe films are the mirror of society we live in. Through this film, I think people will become more aware about the gay issue," says Abhimanyu.

One of the four stories in the movie, ‘I Am Omar’ is a tale of sexual discrimination, blackmail and prejudice.

"The police or any higher authority should never try and criminalise people for their sexuality. It is something that is to great extent given by God," says he. The actor feels that a clear stand has to taken on amendments in Article 377 at the earliest. "It should just happen...its high time now," says Abhimanyu.
