Emma Stone says she and real-life boyfriend Andrew Garfield struck an instant chemistry while working on The Amazing Spider-Man.

Emma Stone says she and real-life boyfriend Andrew Garfield struck an instant chemistry while working on The Amazing Spider-Man.

Stone, who began dating Garfield after meeting on the sets of the film, said she loved working closely with the actor and hopes their bond is reflected in their characters, reported Contactmusic.

"It was really great to work with Andrew. We just had instant chemistry as soon as we were on set and I think it was great to be able to build that relationship," she said.

The 23-year-old also said she prefers the romance element in The Amazing Spider-Man to the action scenes in the film.

"The romance is my favourite part of filming because I don't do the action quite as well," Stone added.
