Bachchan embarrasses Hirani

Asserting his wish to work with the director, Bachchan says if Rajkumar Hirani likes his work, he might give him a small role in his next film.

Usually, it is directors who queue up to work with Amitabh Bachchan. However, in the world of directors, it is Rajkumar Hirani who is on the veteran actors’ wish list.

With Hirani’s impressive track record of giving successive hits such as Munnabhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munnabhai and 3 Idiots, it is no surprise that even Bachchan wants to work with him.

Asserting his wish to work with the director, Bachchan says, "The country knows how good and famous a director he is. I am happy to at least get to work with him even though it’s only on an ad film. If he likes my work, he might give me a small role in his next film."

On the other hand, Hirani is all praise for the actor and says that since Bachchan is a fast learner, one doesn’t need to explain much to him while shooting.

“I am embarrassed about Amitji saying that I don’t give him a role in my film. Which is why we should at least do advertisements together.” Hirani is a big fan of Bachchan and admits to have grown up “copying his hairstyle and worn the clothes he made famous.”

He adds, “I would love to work with him but I only make one film in three years. So until films happen, we can do advertisements together.”
