Ahan Shetty on his equation with other star-kids: 'Known Aryan Khan since I was a kid'

Ahan Shetty has said that he did not grow up around star kids in Bollywood and has befriended many of them only recently. However, he added that he has known Aryan Khan since childhood, and was inspired by Tiger Shroff.

Ahan Shetty has said that he did not know many star kids while growing up, however, he has known Shah Rukh Khan’s elder son Aryan Khan since they were kids. In his new interview, Ahan has also said that he started making friends in the industry only recently. Ahan is Suniel Shetty’s son and is gearing up for the release of his first film, Tadap.

Asked to name his friends from the industry, Ahan Shetty told Siddharth Kannan in an interview, “Even though dad is in the industry, we never really grew up in this environment. Also, we lived in South Bombay, I was in the American School of Bombay. Dad also has a lot of friends and gets immense respect from them. But we were never like a Bollywood family.”

He also said, “I think only recently, I have made a few friends, you know, Ranbir Kapoor, Shoojit Sircar, Bunty Ahluwalia, Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, all of them. But I have also known Aryan Khan since I was a kid. I was in the American School of Bombay, he was in the Ambani School. We used to meet on the field outside.” He added that Aryan is a good footballer.

Ahan also said that he went to the same school as Tiger Shroff. “I was in the same school as Tiger and I used to see him perform and he was always an inspiration. Now, getting into the industry, he has set the bar quite high in the industry in both action and dance. I really look up to him.”

Ahan will soon be seen in Milan Luthria’s Tadap which is written by Rajat Arora and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie features Tara Sutaria opposite Ahan. The film is a remake of the 2018 Telugu film RX 100.
