Alia Bhatt reacts to her 'favourite' Ranveer Singh being trolled for nude shoot, says : 'Can’t tolerate this…’

Alia Bhatt has reacted to her co-actor and friend Ranveer Singh's recent nude photoshoot and the ensuing controversy around it.

Alia Bhatt seemed to take offence to a journalist’s question about her co-actor and friend Ranveer Singh’s recent nude photoshoot. Alia was interacting with the press on Monday at the trailer launch of her upcoming film Darlings in Mumbai. At the event, a journalist asked her opinion on the recent controversy around Ranveer’s shoot.

Ranveer had posed nude for Paper magazine shoot and since the pictures were shared online a few days ago, the actor received both praise and criticism. While many industry colleagues and fans praised Ranveer for being brave, many internet users trolled him as well and said the shoot was ‘indecent’.

During the trailer launch of Darlings on Monday, Alia Bhatt was asked her thoughts on the trolling that came Ranveer’s way, and she said, “I don’t like anything negative being said about my favourite Ranveer Singh so I can’t tolerate this question.” The actor then paused and smiled, before adding, “I love him and he is eternally favourite to all of us. He has given so much to the movies so we should only give him love.”

Ranveer and Alia are working together in Karan Johar’s upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film also stars Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles. The film’s third and final schedule began in April 2022 and is expected to be finished soon. The film was slated for a release on 10 February 2023 but reports have claimed that it has been delayed owing to Alia’s pregnancy. They have worked together earlier in Gully Boy.

Alia and Ranveer also appeared together in the first episode of Koffee With Karan season 7, Karan Johar’s talk show. The two actors spoke about their bond and how they became really close friends while shooting for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
