Govinda says he'd have definitely gone for Madhuri Dixit had it not been for Sunita: ‘Kitni sundar hai’

Govinda said in new interview that he made the best pair with Madhuri Dixit. His wife Sunita Ahuja agreed with him.

Govinda has confessed his crush on Madhuri Dixit in a new interview. The actor was speaking about who makes the best on-screen jodi with him when he took her name along with Rekha's. However, he did mention that he would have flirted with Madhuri for sure had it not been for his wife Sunita.

Govinda entered movies with 1986's Ilzaam. Madhuri made her debut with 1984's Abodh. The two worked together in Paap Ka Ant and Izzatdaar. She also made a special appearance in Govinda's hit film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

On his crush on Madhuri

In a new interview with Bollywood Bubble, Govinda and Sunita were asked who he'd made the best pair with. Both named Madhuri. Sunita said, "He loves Madhuri Ji." Govinda added, “And Rekha Ji. Kitne saal ka career hai ye logon ka, ek problem nahi hai. Aur kaisi sundar hai ye log, jo andar se sundar hota hai uski sundarta kabhi khatam nahi hoti. Aap dekhiye ye log waisi hi hai jaise aai thi. Sunita nahi hoti toh pakka maine dore Madhuri ji pe daale hote (They have had such long careers and not a single controversy. And they are such beautiful women. Women who are beautiful from the inside never lose their beauty. You must notice how they look still the same as the day they arrived. If it had not been for Sunita, I'd have definitely flirted with Madhuri).”

Govinda and Sunita's match

Govinda and Sunita married on March 11, 1987. While Govinda was 24 years old when he had tied the knot, Sunita was 18. He told Bollywood Bubble in another interview, "She was very young and modern. I was scared of being called a child molester for dating her. We were both young, I even told her 'You are so young, do you even know what you are saying' but she said she knows everything, and said I love you to me'."

Govinda and Sunita have two kids--son Yashvardhan and daughter Tina. Madhuri is married to Dr Shriram Nene and has two sons with him.
